JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) noted that as many as 25 roads were inundated due to rain that hit the Jakarta area with water levels reaching 70 centimeters.

The number of roads that flood as of 09.00 WIB has increased compared to the previous 22 roads per 08.00 WIB. In addition, BPBD also noted that the flood inundated 32 RTs in North Jakarta and East Jakarta this morning.

"BPBD noted that the inundation previously occurred in 17 RTs and 22 Roads has now increased to 32 RTs or 0.105 percent from 30,772 RTs and 25 roads," said Head of BPBD DKI Jakarta Isnawa Adji in his statement, Wednesday, January 31.

Jakarta Rain this morning also caused an increase in water level and status at Karet Water Gate, Angke Hulu Monitoring Post, Fish Market Sluice, Cipinang Hulu Monitoring Post, Manggarai Sluice Gate to Alert 3 (Alert), and Upper Sunter Monitoring Post to Alert 1 (Danger).

Isnawa said that his party mobilized personnel to monitor inundation conditions in each region and coordinate the elements of the Natural Resources Service, the Highways Office, the Gulkarmat Service to carry out inundation suction and ensure that the water lines function properly together with the local village heads and sub-district heads. In addition, the DKI Jakarta BPBD also coordinates with the Social Service, AGD Health Office, PMI for handling refugees.

"The inundation is targeted to recede in a short time," said Isnawa.
