Strengthening Enforcement, KPK Appoints 11 Public Prosecutors From The AGO

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) inaugurated 11 public prosecutors (JPU) from the Attorney General's Office. This is done by the anti-graft commission as a form of strengthening against the prosecution of corruption crimes.

"The KPK leadership appointed 11 prosecutors from the Attorney General's Office to strengthen the KPK Deputy for Enforcement," said Acting KPK spokesman for Enforcement Ali Fikri in his written statement, Wednesday, February 24.

This inauguration was held at the KPK's Red and White House, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta and was chaired by KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri at around 11.00 WIB.

Apart from inaugurating 11 prosecutors, Firli also appointed the Head of the Treasury Division of the KPK, Muhammad Ibnusoim. This process is carried out after the transfer of the Ministry of Finance has been completed.

"The person concerned has gone through the selection stages and passed to occupy an echelon III position with other echelon III structural officials who have been appointed earlier," said Ali.

Meanwhile, for the eight prospective investigators who came from the National Police, this was done after they graduated from the formation of KPK investigators. These activities are still ongoing and are being carried out by the KPK Anti-Corruption Education Center.

In the inauguration which was broadcast on the KPK RI YouTube account, Firli Bahuri said the 11 prosecutors had to work hard to eradicate corruption. Because, rasuah is not only an act against the law but also an act that is detrimental to the state.

"Not only that, corruption also robs the people of their rights, all of us including those of us who work at the KPK. Therefore, I hope that my colleagues who join today focus their thoughts and energy to work to eradicate corruption endlessly," said Firli.
