JAKARTA - There is the behavior of an officer of the Water Service's Waste Management Unit (UPS) of the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency in the Manggarai Water Gate area, South Jakarta. He was working to clean up the remaining garbage to put it in the garbage truck. However, the remaining scattered garbage was thrown with a broom into the Ciliwung River at Manggarai Water Gate. When it has accumulated at the floodgate barrier, the remains of the garbage are transported using heavy equipment that is usually used to transport river waste. Then, the garbage is put into the truck. This incident went viral on social media. Many netizens admitted that they were surprised by the officers' work patterns. Finally, the Water Agency UPS followed up on the case. "The officer has been questioned for his actions," wrote the DKI Jakarta Environmental Agency (LH) Instagram account, Tuesday, January 30. The Department of Environment explained that the officer had also been given a sanction to pay a fine in accordance with DKI Jakarta Regional Regulation Number 3 of 2013 concerning Waste Management. Currently, the officer has admitted his guilt and has apologized for this.

"Of course this will be a lesson so that all officers pay more attention to SOPs in carrying out their duties as Water Agency UPS Officers," he continued.
