TKN Calls Prabowo-Gibran Will Change Pertalite And 3 Kg LPG Distribution Schemes

JAKARTA - Paslon presidential-cawapres number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka will make efficiency in the distribution of energy subsidies such as fuel oil (BBM) and LPG 3 kilograms (kg).

Deputy Chairperson of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Eddy Soeparno, assessed that currently the distribution of energy subsidies has not been right on target because most of them are enjoyed by the rich community.

"Those who enjoy Pertalite's energy subsidies, 3 kilograms of LPG, diesel, 80 percent are the wealthy because those who buy Pertalite are the average person who owns a private vehicle, can afford it, even owns more than one vehicle," said Eddy when met after attending a discussion session entitled "Capital Connect: Indonesia Elections & Economics" in Central Jakarta (Jakpus), Tuesday, January 30, confiscated by Antara.

Therefore, Prabowo-Gibran will change the energy subsidy distribution scheme to make it more targeted, namely for people who are included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS).

"What we want to do is how to implement a regulation where only those who fall into the category have the right to use it, whether it is a foundation, a society that is included in the DTKS category," said Eddy.

Eddy said that the scheme offered by the Prabowo-Gibran pair was not to distribute subsidies to their products, but to provide directly to the beneficiary communities.

Through this scheme, subsidized energy products such as lertalite, Solar, and 3 kilograms of LPG will not be sold at a subsidy price. Subsidies will be immediately accepted by the people who are used to buy the fuel.

"So each person is given a subsidy and then they use it to buy products. Then there is no subsidy anymore, pertalite the price is flat, LPG is 3 kilograms the price is flat, diesel is even. The subsidy is directly to the recipient. Therefore, DTKS-thus must be repaired," he said.
