BANTUL - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the distribution of government rice reserve food aid to residents who are entitled to receive benefits will be given in January, February, and March 2024.

"Ladies and gentlemen, have all received 10 kilograms, yes, yes. Is there anyone who hasn't? This will be given in January, February March," said President Jokowi while greeting the recipients during a working visit to Bulog Pajangan Warehouse, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region (DIY), Tuesday, May 30.

The Head of State then asked the beneficiaries whether to approve rice food assistance to be given again in the next month.

"Agreed (not), those who did not agree to raise their hands," said President Jokowi, who was greeted by screams, agreed by the residents of Bantul Regency who were present at the event.

President Jokowi then continued the statement that after March, the rice food aid would resume for April, May, and June.

"Agree with the boy, those who don't agree may show their fingers, if they are, or please come forward I will give them a bicycle," said President Jokowi.

Furthermore, President Jokowi also said that after the rice food assistance for June was distributed, the government would calculate the budget again to continue providing assistance.

"Later, after June I will count again our APBN (National Budget), if possible, it will be continued again," said President Jokowi.

On that occasion President Jokowi also asked residents about El-Nino's Direct Cash Assistance (BLT), which some residents answered that they did not receive the assistance.

"Yes, that's not all, not all of El-Nino BLT, but this is January, February, March, it will also be given again. There must be ten people here who can," he said.
