The Padang District Attorney (Kejari) has detained two suspects with the initials S and HG in the alleged corruption case of the Excellence Center Program funds at the Padang State Agricultural Development Vocational High School (SMKPP).
In this case, suspect S is the former Head of SMKPP Padang, while suspect HG is the former Deputy Principal (Wapeksek).

The two suspects in the case were charged with articles 2 and 3 of Law Number 31 of 1999 as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption.
The results of an audit by the West Sumatra Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP), the state financial losses arising in the corruption case at SMKPP Padang amounted to Rp257,232,068.
"The state's financial losses arise due to irregularities in activities, lack of physical work volume, and transfer of funds for personal (unphysical) interests," he said.
He explained that the Center for Excellence Program is a program from the Ministry of Education and Culture for vocational high schools in physical and unphysical activities in 2021 and 2022.
Physical activities include building student practice rooms, hallways, sanitation, and repairing greenhouses. Meanwhile, unphysical for learning activities and the purchase of practical tools.
Investigators from the Padang Kejari suspect that there has been misuse of funds from the Center for Excellence Program which is not in accordance with its designation.
Throughout the investigation, the Padang Kejari has examined more than 20 witnesses, two expert witnesses, including the two suspects.
