Soldiers Battalion 330/TD Shot By KKB In Sugapa Intan Jaya

Dandim 1705/Nabire Lt. Col. Inf. Doni Firmansah confirmed the news that a soldier from Yonif 330/TD who was on security duty at the Intan Jaya Regent's office in Sugapa, Intan Jaya Regency, Papua, was shot during a shootout with the KKB.

During the security of the Forkopimda meeting of Intan Jaya Regency, which was led by the Acting Regent of Intan Jaya, the KKB carried out the shooting until a shootout occurred.

"As a result, Praka Nur Fajar Fadli suffered a gunshot wound and has now been evacuated to Timika," said Dandim 1705/Nabire Lt. Col. Inf. Doni Firmansah as reported by ANTARA, Monday, January 29.

Separately, Intan Jaya Police Chief AKBP Afrizal Asri explained that the shootout occurred at around 11.43 WIT when members of the TNI-Polri were carrying out security at the Intan Jaya Regent's office in Sugapa during the Forkopimda coordination meeting.

The victim before being evacuated to Timika by helicopter was handled by the medical team at the Sugapa Health Center.

"The condition of the victim is reported to be stable," said Intan Jaya Police Chief AKBP Afrizal Asri.

Previously (19/1), the KKB carried out an attack by shooting at the TNI-Polri post in Sugapa District, causing a Brimob member to fall.
