JATENG - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) asked the Military Academy (Akmil) of the TNI to adapt to technological changes as well as the political landscape and global economy.

"The Military Academy (Akmil) must be able and willing to adjust, adapt to disruption, with technological changes," said Jokowi when delivering a speech at the inauguration ceremony of Graha Utama Akmil in Magelang, Central Java (Central Java), Monday, January 29, was confiscated by Antara.

He also explained that the construction of the main gate covering an area of 8,068 square meters would encourage Akmil and his cadets, because educational facilities and infrastructure in the academy would be more complete, sophisticated, and modern.

The building can be used as a center for academic activities and military events.

"I hope that with the addition of this educational facility, Akmil Magelang will advance, resulting in more and more strong and professional soldiers, dedicating their best ability to maintain the sovereignty of the nation," said Jokowi.

Meanwhile, Defense Minister (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto, who accompanied President Jokowi at the inauguration, said that the construction of Graha Utama Akmil was part of efforts to realize the great vision of developing and developing educational facilities in military educational institutions.

Graha Utama is expected to have a central role in shaping the character, mentality, and intellectuals of the prospective TNI leaders.

In addition to serving primarily as an office building for governors and main Akmil officials, the main grea is also the venue for military honor events, an important ceremony for receiving foreign guests, as well as inauguration and commemoration of historic events.
