TKN Prabowo-Gibran Asks KPU And Bawaslu To Take Action On Structured Fraud Findings In Central Java And East Java

JAKARTA - The National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Gibran asked the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) to take action against findings of evidence of fraud containing the fulfillment of Systematic and Massive Structured elements (TSM) in two provinces, namely East Java.

Deputy Chairperson of TKN Prabowo-Gibran Habiburokhman admitted that he received information that in the third week of January 2024 there were political party officials who gathered election organizers at a hotel in Central Java. It was stated that the political party pair was lagging behind Prabowo and Gibran.

"Then there is a narrative that they will cheat by destroying the ballots of Prabowo Gibran's voters, the Indonesian House of Representatives Nasdem, Gerindra, and PKS. The way to damage the ballot is to use the nails installed on the KPPS table," said Habiburokhman during a press conference at the Prabowo Gibran Media Center on Jalan Sriwijaya I, South Jakarta, Sunday, January 28.

In addition, he continued, TKN also found evidence of indications of fraud by election organizers during the consolidation and Training of Trainers (TOT) of PPK and PPS officers in Jember Regency at the Cempaka Jember Hotel on January 22, 2024.

Regarding the two violations, the Deputy Chairperson of the Gerindra Party said that he would immediately coordinate formally by reporting to Bawaslu.

"For East Java as of today, it has been reported to Bawaslu, while our Central Java is in the process, maybe we will complete one or two days and report it," he said.

On the same occasion, Deputy Commander of the TKN Legal Team, Fritz Edward Siregar, assessed that these two incidents indicated the fulfillment of elements of Systematic and Massive Structured Fraud (TSM).

"It must be remembered that for election organizers who are indicated to be fraudulent, there is a prison sentence. Article 286 paragraph 3 of the Election Law, the act of massively destroying ballot paper through election organizers is one element of fulfilling the meaning of TSM," said the former member of the Indonesian Bawaslu.

Fritz also asked the East Java KPU and Bawaslu to immediately follow up on this matter. Both ethical and criminal.

There are two treatments that can be carried out by Bawaslu and the KPU. Ethically, it can immediately replace it, and criminally, the East Java Bawaslu can immediately carry out criminal investigations," he explained.

Fritz also appealed to the KPU to follow up on this so that the election would be neutral and jurdil.

"To make a safe and peaceful atmosphere, an honest and fair election, we will take firm action from the KPU and Bawaslu very much later," concluded Fritz.
