Give Support To Prabowo-Gibran, Indonesia's Advocate Alliance Is Ready To Guard If There Is An Election Dispute

JAKARTA - The United Indonesia Advocate Alliance declared support for Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Thousands of advocates under the leadership of the famous lawyer, Otto Hasibuan, stated that he was ready to escort Prabowo-Gibran if there was a dispute over the 2024 General Election.

Starting his remarks, Otto said that Prabowo-Gibran had been elected as president and vice president based on the survey results.

It is known, the results of the candidate pair number 2 survey have touched 47 percent and some have even reached more than 50 percent.

"Actually, it has been completed, Pak Prabowo has been chosen based on the existing survey. However, the election mechanism is of course carried out," Otto said when declaring support for Prabowo-Gibran at Balai Kartini, Jakarta, Friday, January 26.

Otto then mentioned the many narratives that emerged to bring down Prabowo's good name. He suspected that the narrative was raised by certain parties for fear that Prabowo-Gibran would win the 2024 presidential election contestation.

"Right now, there are a lot of narratives conveyed by certain parties to bring down Pak Prabowo's good name because they think and see Pak Prabowo and Gibran will be elected president," he said.

"So they created rumors of the election cheating, even though the election was not yet running. It has not been said to be cheating, that means they may seem to have lost, thus making the situation if Pak Prabowo wins because of cheating," continued Otto.

With these narratives, Otto asked thousands of advocates supporting Prabowo-Gibran to be careful and ready to fight back, especially regarding the potential for election disputes.

Otto emphasized that advocates supporting Prabowo-Gibran must be ready to guard if the 2024 election dispute does occur.

"I don't expect there to be an election dispute, but if there is an election dispute, all Indonesian advocates must be ready to unite, that's our first task. Keeping, guarding," concluded Otto.

Meanwhile, Prabowo Subianto asked all his supporters to attend the polling station (TPS) on February 14, 2024 and oversee the process so that fraud does not occur.

"I ask everyone to be present at the TPS, not to commit any fraud. We believe, with the support of the people, the people's support is extraordinary to us," said Prabowo.

Prabowo also advised his supporters to use technology, such as cellphones as well as possible on voting day. Especially when you find fraud.

"Process must be followed, it must be recorded, so if something is not true, there is a lot of evidence," said Prabowo.
