Officers Thwart The Smuggling Of Methamphetamine To The Defendant Of The Trial At The Siak District Court

SIAK - The Siak District Attorney's Office officer, Riau Province, thwarted an attempt to smuggle methamphetamine in a snack pack by two perpetrators with the initials AP and AI who will be entrusted to the defendant with the initials R while undergoing trial at the Siak Sri Indrapura District Court.

The Head of the Siak District Attorney's Office through the Head of the Intelligence Section, Manik Hospitalization, confirmed that the prison guard from the prosecutor accompanied by the Siak Resort Police found the methamphetamine package. The illicit goods were found in a snack wrapped in transparent tissue and duct tape, Wednesday (24/1).

The goods are planned to be handed over to residents of the Class II B Siak Detention Center with the initials MKH, DZ and AH. They ordered methamphetamine from inside the Siak Detention Center using cell phones.

"Initially, the prison guard officers from the Kejari and Siak Police who were on duty to escort the defendants who were going to trial. The officers saw suspicious behavior of two men on motorbikes in the yard of the Siak District Court who claimed to be sending food and clothes to one of the detainees who was going to trial at that time," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 26.

After that, the Siak Kejari prison guard officers together with personnel from the police checked the luggage that would be given to the detainees. Then found items in the form of snacks and clothes for the detainee in question.

Then a suspicious snack wrap was found because it was intact but wrapped in clear white duct tape. After being opened and examined by the suspicious object, four packages of evidence were found that was suspected of being methamphetamine in clear plastic.

For further investigation, the prison guard officers handed over three men with the initials AP, R and AI to the Siak Police Narcotics Investigation Unit officers along with evidence. The Narcotics Satres Police immediately carried out developments in the detention center and secured the three perpetrators with the initials MKH, DZ and AH.
