The MUsi Rawas Police Are Tracing Other Networks In The Case Of Ownership Of 40 Ecstasy Points

MUSI RAWAS - Musi Rawas Police, South Sumatra, is investigating the case of a suspect in possession of 40 ecstasy pills in the area. "We are still investigating, to what extent is the person concerned or the suspect involved with the illicit goods," said Musi Rawas Police Narcotics Head AKP Romi in his report in Musi Rawas, Antara, Friday, January 26. The suspect with the initials JP is a resident from Lubuklinggau City who was arrested by the Musi Rawas police because he was found to have 40 ecstasy pills. JP was arrested while on Jalan H Syueb, precisely in Air Satan Village, Muara Beliti District, Mura Regency, South Sumatra on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. AKP Romi explained that the suspect was arrested based on the police report Lp-A/05/I/2024/SPKT.SATRESNARKOBA/RES MURA/SUMSEL. Starting when members received reports by residents, that there were perpetrators who often carried out narcotics transactions. Then an investigation was carried out and it was discovered that the perpetrator would pass on Jalan H Syueb, precisely in Air Satan Village, Muara Beliti District. Without thinking, the members arrested the suspect. During the search, evidence was found, including a pack of filter-type cigarettes containing four medium-sized transparent plastic clips containing 40 purple pills bearing the Narcotics PP logo weighing 16.22 grams. The evidence was found on the side of the road which was deliberately stored by the perpetrator approximately 10 meters from the perpetrator who was arrested, and the perpetrator admitted that the evidence belonged to him.

Now the suspect has been detained at the Musi Rawas Police Headquarters and the suspect violates Article 114 paragraph (2) and/or Article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law NO. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics, with a minimum threat of 4 (four) years and a maximum of 12 (twelve) years and a minimum fine of Rp800,000,000.00 (eight hundred million rupiah).
