DKI Provincial Government Clarifies Mandatory Work Vacancies To Have IPhone 13 Pro

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Disparekraf) Andhika Permata clarified the requirements for job vacancies for social media management experts who require applicants to have their own work tools with a minimum device equivalent to the iPhone 13 Pro.

This requirement had drawn protests from netizens because it was considered unreasonable. Finally, the DKI Disparekraf removed the iPhone ownership requirements. Andhika admitted that these conditions were not mandatory.

"To be able to join Disparekraf, the requirement to have a device with a certain brand is not an absolute requirement, because you can also use other devices that have equivalent specifications," Andhika said in his statement, Friday, January 26.

Andhika admits that a professional must be supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure in order to produce optimal products. For example, in making content, a professional tool is needed.

"Disparekraf appreciates the expertise and creativity regardless of the devices owned by applicants. Because our commitment is that together with the individuals who come in later we can present information and provide tourist attractions that are attractive to Jakarta residents," said Andhika.

Previously, the recruitment of DKI Jakarta Disparekraf employees shocked social media. The reason is, one of the requirements for applicants for DKI Disparekraf social media management experts is to have their own work tools with a minimum device equivalent to the iPhone 13 Pro.

A number of netizens on social media X (Twitter) responded surprisingly to the recruitment requirements. According to them, the DKI Provincial Government should be able to provide the work tools of its employees.

The requirement to have an iPhone 13 Pro or something like this is stated in the content creator position or social media content creator owned by Disparekraf DKI. The condition that was deleted was written "has its own work tools, at least Iphone 13 Pro or equivalent".

The deleted terms are listed at point 10. Now, the conditions are replaced with "familiar and can use a smartphone to produce videos with 4K resolution at 60fps".
