BANDA ACEH - A total of 200 female female female students Babul Maghfirah in Aceh Besar Regency were sent home because the dormitory building they occupied caught fire.
"For the time being, we are repatriating students whose dormitories are on fire. There are 200 students," said Dayah Babul Maghfirah leader Ustadz Mastrul Aidi in Aceh Besar, Aceh, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, January 25.
Previously, the girls' dormitory building, prayer room, and the house led by Dayah Babul Maghfirah in the Cot Keueung area, Kuta Baro District, Aceh Besar District, caught fire, Thursday (25/1) at around 09.35 WIB. The cause of the fire is suspected to be an electrical short circuit.
Masrul Aidi said that currently his party is coordinating with parents regarding the temporary repatriation of female students until dormitories are available for them.
"For students outside Banda Aceh and Aceh Besar Districts, we are trying to get their closest relatives, so they don't have to be sent back to their place of origin. Because there are a number of female students from Subulussalam City, Southeast Aceh Regency, and Aceh Tamiang Regency," he said.
Regarding the teaching and learning process at the modern pesantren, Masrul Aidi said the incident did not interfere with teaching and learning at Dayah Babul Maghrirah.
"The teaching and learning process continues because the study room did not catch fire, which caught fire in a dormitory building, canteen, and prayer room. The loss of billions of rupiah due to the burning building was all new," said Masrul Aidi.
