KPK Names Reyna Usman As A Corruption Suspect For The Ministry Of Manpower's TKI Protection System For State Loss Of IDR 17.6 Billion

The Corruption Eradication Commission or the KPK has officially named three suspects in the case of alleged corruption in the Indonesian labor protection system (TKI) at the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) for the 2012 period.

The suspects are former Director General (Dirjen) of Manpower and Transmigration Placement Development, Reyna Usman (RU); Secretary of the Ministry of Manpower Planning and Development Agency (Barenbang), I Nyoman Darmanta (IND); and Director of PT Adi Inti Mandiri, Karunia (KRN).

"Today, after going through various processes ranging from receiving reports to investigating, we have obtained sufficient evidence to be raised to the investigation stage and we announce the perpetrator or suspect," said KPK Deputy Chair Alexander Marwata to reporters, Thursday, January 25.

Of the three suspects, only Reyna Usman and I Nyoman Darmanta have been detained.

Meanwhile, the suspect Karunia was asked to cooperate in attending the scheduled examination.

"The investigative team detained the suspects RU and IND for the first 20 days, starting from January 25 to February 13 at the KPK detention center," said Alex.

In this case, the three of them were suspected of committing acts against the law or fabricating the use of authority which caused state losses of Rp. 17.6 billion.

They are suspected of being under Article 2 paragraph (1) or Article 3 of the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.
