20 TPS At Natuna Riau Islands Blankspot Internet, KPU: Government Activates Unfunctioning BAKTI Tower

JAKARTA - The General Election Commission (KPU) of Natuna Regency noted that as many as 20 polling stations (TPS) in its area were in the blankspot zone or there was no internet signal. Head of the Natuna Regency KPU, Kusnaidi, said they got the data after conducting a review of several areas and the results of his team's report. "About 20 polling stations that experienced blankspots," he said in Natuna, Thursday, January 25, were confiscated by Antara. Meanwhile, the Natuna Bahrul Amin Regency KPU Data and Information Planning Division said the TPS was spread over several sub-districts far from the main sub-district. "There are in Laut Island, Midai, Serasan, Northeastern Bunguran, in every sub-district there are" he said. Such conditions, he continued, have the potential to disrupt the implementation of the recapitulation of ballots in the 2024 elections. "We need internet signals, the first to find out the data of voters who use their voting rights with ID cards, then related to the recap (voting letter), the Sirekap application also uses the Internet," he said.

Ia menyebut pihaknya sudah mengkoordinasikan kondisi tersebut ke Kominfo Kabupaten Natuna dan KPU RI.Menurut informasi dari KPU RI, setiap TPS yang berada di area minim sinyal akan diakomodir oleh Kominfo RI dengan mengaktifkan BTS milik BAKTI Kominfo."Pemerintah akan mengaktifkan tower BAKTI yang tidak berfungsi," ungkap dia.Sementara, Plt Kepala Dinas Kominfo Kabupaten Natuna Ikhwan Solihin membenarkan bahwa KPU Natuna sudah berkoordinasi dengan pihaknya.Namun, sambung dia, pihaknya tidak memiliki kewenangan terkait permasalahan tersebut.Meski demikian, pihaknya akan membantu mengomunikasikan hal tersebut kepada pihak terkait."Kita upayakan membantu mencari solusi terkait permasalahan yang terjadi," tandasnya.
