Dismissing Prabowo's Is Sick, Jokowi: Healthy Walafiat

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) answered the issue that the Indonesian Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto is currently sick. Jokowi who attended the Super Hercules C-130J-30 Aircraft Submission event at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Base emphasized that Prabowo was in good health.

"He is healthy like this," said Jokowi while pointing at Prabowo at Halim Perdana Kusuma Air Base, Jakarta, Wednesday, January 24.

Hearing this issue, Prabowo who accompanied Jokowi was surprised. The presidential candidate number 2 also said that the news he was sick was a hoax.

"What pain? Who told me? Hoaxes," said Prabowo.

Prabowo then put up his flagship silat pose while revealing that in a day he was able to visit three locations.

"3 points (a day)," continued Prabowo.

For information, Prabowo had the opportunity to symbolically hand over the fourth C-130J Super Hercules A-134 aircraft to the Air Force Chief of Staff (KSAU) Marshal TNI Fadjar Prasetyo for further operation by the Indonesian Air Force (TNI AU).

The handover of the plane was witnessed directly by President Jokowi. Jokowi and Prabowo, Meutya Hafid, and three chiefs of staff of the force also had the opportunity to directly inspect Lockheed Martin's C-130J Super Hercules aircraft, United States (US).

The C-130J Super Hercules aircraft is the latest and most advanced aircraft in its class. The Ministry of Defense (Kemhan) chose this aircraft because it is very effective for archipelagic countries such as Indonesia with very large areas and short runways.

Overall, the Ministry of Defense has ordered five Super Hercules C-130J units, of which three previous aircraft have been handed over to the Indonesian Air Force, namely in March, June, and August 2023.

The five aircraft will later be placed in the Air Squadron 31 Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base Jakarta, to carry out the duties of the Indonesian Air Force in supporting air transportation both in war military operations (OMP) and military operations other than war (OMSP).

On the same occasion, Prabowo also symbolically handed over the results of the modernization or refurbishment of the AS550 Fennec helicopter and the AS565 MBE Panther helicopter, all of which involved the domestic defense industry.

The AS550 Fennec helicopter was handed over by Prabowo to Army Chief of Staff General TNI Maruli Simanjuntak and AS565 MBE Panther helicopters to KSAL Admiral TNI Muhammad Ali.
