The KPK Gives IDR 55 Billion Of TNI AL On Board KRI Dewaruci

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) handed over assets in the form of land and buildings worth IDR 55,823,297,000 to the Indonesian Navy (TNI AL) via the Ministry of Defense. This submission was carried out on KRI Dewaruci.

KPK chairman Firli Bahuri said the handover of assets was carried out as a form of management of state booty obtained from the prosecution of corruption cases for use.

"The handover is carried out so that all existing assets can be utilized by the state for the interests of the people, in this case the Navy as one of the guardians of the country's sovereignty", said Firli as quoted from a written statement, Tuesday, February 23.

After the handover was made, Chief of Naval Staff Laksmana TNI Yudo Margono said that the assets in his unit on land were minimal. Thus, the assets provided will be useful for the institution.

There are also assets received by the Indonesian Navy are spoils of the state originating from the Corruption and Money Laundry (TPPU) cases on behalf of the convict Fuad Amin. The land and buildings are located in Manyar Sabrangan Village, Mulyorejo District, Surabaya, East Java.

The land area of the asset reaches 2,100 square meters with a building area of 2,400 square meters on it.

The asset handover ceremony was attended by other KPK commissioners, namely Alexander Marwata, Lili Pintauli Siregar, and Nurul Ghufron. In addition, from the Ministry of Finance, there was the Director of State Wealth Management and Information System Purnama T. Siantur and from the Ministry of Defense represented by the Head of the Defense Facilities Agency, Marsda TNI Yusuf Jauhari.
