Brake Blong Truck Caused By Collision On The Peak Line

The Bogor Resort Police revealed the complete chronology of the five-vehicle collision incident on the Puncak Tourism Line, precisely in Tugu Utara Village, Cisarua, Bogor Regency, West Java.

Head of the Bogor Police Traffic Unit, AKP Rizki Guntama, explained that the accident that occurred at 11.00 WIB began when a box truck loaded with bottled mineral water moved from Cianjur to Jakarta.

The truck with the police number B-9740-UXX is thought to have failed brakes while walking down the road, causing it to hit four parked two-wheeled vehicles.

"The condition of the road is sideways to the left, the driver lost control due to a burst of brakes," Rizki explained as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 23.

It did not stop there, the vehicle then hit a Suzuki Carry type angkot with police number F-1994-NZ which was stopped on the left side of the road from Puncak.

Then also hit a Suzuki XL7 with police number F-152-AAC pushing the vehicle to the right side of the road.

After that, the vehicle also hit the Daihatsu Grandmax type angkot with police number D-1914-XA which was moving from Gadog to Puncak and again hit a parked vehicle, namely Mitshubishi L300 Box numbered BB-8863-FA on the shoulder of the road to the right from the direction of Puncak.

"After the successive accident, the truck loaded with mineral water just stopped when it hit a restaurant and a car vehicle repair shop," explained Rizki.

The successive accidents involved 17 people, 14 of whom suffered minor to serious injuries, so they were rushed to the nearest hospital, including Dr. M. Goenawan Partowidigdo (RSPG) Lung Hospital, to receive treatment.

The process of evacuating victims and vehicles lasted about four hours, causing traffic on the Puncak Line to experience long traffic jams.
