The defendant's camp Mahendra Dito Sampurno alias Dito Mahendra said there was no malicious intent or even involvement of terrorism behind the ownership of 9 illegal weapons.

Dito Mahendra's attorney, Boris Tampubolon, said that all of his client's weapons were only part of a hobby, namely collecting and shooting sports.

"Majelis hakim, kami juga mau menyampaikan salah satu hal yang prinsip dan sangat penting di persidangan ini bahwa kliennya ini adalah seorang pengusaha yang bekerja secara baik, yang sejak lama bertahun-tahun dan memiliki hobby olahraga menembakin. "These weapons are also not terrorist weapons, witnesses from the police also explained that they were not terrorist weapons," continued Boris.

Therefore, the panel of judges who tried was asked to accept the exception from Dito Mahendra. Thus, the indictment from the public prosecutor or prosecutor is null and void.

"Received and granted the objection note or exception of the defendant Mahendra Dito Sampurno who was submitted a legal advisor in its entirety. Asked for the indictment to be null and void or at least declared the indictment unacceptable," said Boris.

Meanwhile, Dito Mahendra was charged with possessing 9 illegal or unlicensed weapons. A total of 6 of them are senpi.

"6 firearms, 1 air rifle and 2 airsoft guns are not equipped with a Firearm Import Permit document and a legal firearm ownership pass document (BPSA)," said the prosecutor.

The six illegal guns are a Clock 17 gun, a S&W revolver, a 19 Zev Clock pistol, an M4 ak 101, and an Angstatd Arms pistol.

As for the air soft gun and air rifle which are also not equipped with a valid letter or document, namely, Airsoft Gun Heckler & Koch G36, Airsoft Gun Heckler & Koch MP5, and a Walther brand air rifle.

The nine weapons were the result of a search at Dito Mahendra's office on Jalan Erlangga V No. 20, Selong, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

In this case, the prosecutor charged Dito Mahendra with Article 1 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 12 of 1951 concerning Changing the "Ordonantie Tijdelijke Bijzondere Strafbepalingen" and the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Formerly Nr 8 of 1948.
