In Front Of NU Muslimat, Jokowi Calls Disbursing Social Assistance Rp443 Trillion

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi said the government disbursed Rp443 trillion in funds packaged in the form of social assistance (bansos).

He made this statement while attending the 78th Anniversary of Muslimat Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (GBK), Central Jakarta, Saturday, November 20.

Initially, Jokowi alluded to Indonesia's problem with the world, one of which was the COVID-19 pandemic. It is said, there are 96 countries that have not been able to get out of the impact of the spread of the virus, especially economic problems.

However, the government continues to strive to be present to help the community in various ways, one of which is social assistance.

"The government in the midst of its limitations continues to strive to be present for the community. For example, this is 2023. The subsidies and social assistance that we have disbursed are IDR 443 trillion. Is this big?" said Jokowi.

The funds disbursed were 'packaged' with various types of assistance. Jokowi said, including like a Healthy Indonesia Card or KIS.

"Among them are for KIS, a healthy card, BPJS. So those who go to the hospital don't pay anymore. Who has felt it?" he said.

In fact, the hundreds of trillions of funds are also said to be allocated to the education sector. So, the community can be helped.

However, it is admitted that not all of them were touched by the social assistance. Because only people need to get it.

"Then, smart cards and KIP Lectures. Who did their sons and daughters feel? (I am) really mothers? Then, the Family Hope Program (PKH), basic food cards. Yes, this is not all. That's what was given to PKH was 9.9 million families, not all of them were given to 280 million. Muslim women NU have prospered," said Jokowi.
