TANAH BUMBU - Members of the Tanah Bumbu Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Kalimantan Police are investigating and tracing the discovery of alleged pieces of the baby's body that were scattered on Jalan Blok D2 Rejosari Village, Mantewe District.
"Members are investigating the case, hopefully there will be a bright spot," said Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tanah Bumbu Police AKP Agung Kurnia Putra representing the Tanah Bumbu Police Chief AKBP Arief Prasetya when confirmed in Batulicin, Antara, Friday, January 19.
Previously, police officers attempted to identify the discovery of pieces of a baby's leg spread through social media on Friday, January 12. Agung explained that the police were trying to find other evidence and information around the scene.
Agung admitted that investigators found a number of obstacles to investigating the case due to a shortage of witnesses, even having difficulty identifying the body part because it was suspected that the pieces of the leg were organs of the baby's body that had just been born.
"We continue to try to uncover this case, hopefully it will be revealed quickly," said Agung.
Agung appealed to people who feel they have lost or heard information about the loss of a baby or are related to this case, to immediately coordinate with the nearest police force.
"We guarantee the identity of the reporter," said Agung.
