Jokowi Gives 15 Days To Kemenpan RB Matafikan Scenario For Transfer Of ASN To IKN Nusantara

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) instructed the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Menpan RB) Abdullah Azwar Anas to finalize the scenario for the transfer of ASN to the capital city of the archipelago (IKN). "We, as Menpan RB, are asked by the President within 15 days to immediately coordinate the short-term, medium-term, and long-term scenarios for the transfer of ASN," Anas said after attending a limited meeting with President Jokowi at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, as reported by Antara, Friday, January 19. Acceleration of preparations for the transfer plan, he said, was related to the recruitment of 690,000 ASN from new graduates (fresh graduates) — of which 240,000 people would be placed at the center. "Jadi seleksi ASN ini menjadi momentum, bukan hanya untuk menyambut IKN, tetapi juga menyambut Indonesia Emas &helip; sehingga skenario penyepanan diminta Pak Presiden agar disiapkan dengan baik,” tutur Anas. Anas admitted that he could not convey the details of the scenario for moving ASN to IKN, because it still needed to coordinate with all ministries and state institutions. "We will calculate first from all ministries/agencies, actually the firm can work up to 100 percent, how many ASNs do it take, including what kind of talents, can be from fresh graduates and those who already exist," he said. The government plans to move 3,245 ASN to IKN in the first phase, which will be held from July to November 2024. ASN who were transferred in the first stage consisted of 37 ministries/agencies. The government has prepared 1,740 residences in IKN for them. Previously, Anas explained that the transfer of ASK to IKN was not just a physical relocation, but also a transformation in the work culture and public services. For this reason, he asked each ministry/institution to prepare human resources to move according to the needs of their respective positions and services based on their respective competencies. Anas said that the transfer of ASN to IKN was a strategic step in strengthening public administration and supporting the vision of national development.

In addition, the transfer to IKN is also a momentum for implementing effective and efficient governance.
