Prabowo-Gibran's Promise To Add Jokowi's "Sakti Card" To Be Supported By Various Subsidies

JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka will certainly add welfare cards issued by the government of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) if they are later elected as president and vice president of the Republic of Indonesia in the 2024 presidential election.

The addition of Jokowi's magic card will be supported by various subsidies. The Commander of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team Communication Team (TKN), Budisatrio Djiwandono, said that various social welfare cards in the era of President Jokowi were a good legacy. Therefore, he ensured that the program would be continued by Prabowo-Gibran.

"The Healthy Indonesia Card, Smart Indonesia Card, Pre-Employment Card, including the Family Hope Program, and other magic cards are good heritages from Pak Jokowi. All good things will definitely be continued by Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," Budi told reporters in Jakarta, Friday, January 19.

Not only continuing, Budisatrio said, the Prabowo-Gibran government will add other cards for a social welfare improvement program aimed at eliminating absolute poverty.

Later, KIS Lansia will be added to parents, Healthy Children's Cards for stunting prevention, start-up cards for millennials and gen Z. These are all included in the 8 Fast Best Results Program which will be directly guarded by Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran," he said.

Budi explained that the vision and mission of Prabowo-Gibran targets poverty to be below 5 percent and the human development index with a score of more than 80. For this reason, he said, welfare cards will be supported by various subsidies, direct cash and non-cash assistance, as well as business credit programs.

"Business credit programs for agriculture, livestock, plantations, fisheries, and other people's business sectors. God willing, if Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran get the mandate, we will improve and perfect the foundation that Pak Jokowi has built very well," concluded Budisatrio.

As is known, President Joko Widodo issued many welfare cards during his two government periods. In the education sector, there is a Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) that provides support to 17.9 million students, 2.2 million religious school students, 908 thousand students, and 67.8 thousand religious students.

Meanwhile, in the social protection sector, there is a Healthy Indonesia Card (KIS) which has reached 96.8 million BPJS service beneficiaries for free, Basic Food Cards or Non-Cash Food Assistance (BPNT) for 18.7 million beneficiary families, Pre-Employment Cards for 529 thousand participants, and the Family Hope Program (PKH) for 10 million beneficiary families.
