Rommy Says PPP Cadres Are Stifzing To Support Prabowo-Giban Is Just A Gimic

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Advisory Council of the PPP DPP as well as the TPN Expert Council Ganjar-Mahfud, Muhammad Romahurmuziy said that the PPP cadres who declared support for the presidential-vice presidential candidate pair number 2 Prabowo-Gibran were just a game and was a form of resistance to party policies.

"If there are one or two people who declare or take the name of PPP in order to support other candidate pairs, it is clearly not a DPP policy; even against the party's DPP policy," said the man who is familiarly called Romy during an exclusive interview with ANTARA in Jakarta, Thursday.

Meanwhile, PPP continues to be upright in carrying out Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md in accordance with the decision of the VIII National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) in Jakarta (19/10/2023).

He also assessed that the declaration of PPP Fighters against Prabowo-Gibran was not massive, because it was only carried out by a handful of people in the PPP body.

In fact, Romy saw this as part of the digital media which seemed to claim to have received support from some PPP cadres throughout Indonesia.

"It's just a gaming media whose contents are only 2 to 3 people, but it's as if claiming to have the support of some PPP groups throughout Indonesia," he said.

Previously, a group calling itself the United Development Party (PPP) Fighters declared support to win presidential and vice presidential candidates number 2 Prabowo-Gibran in one round.

PPP Fighter National Coordinator Witjaksono when reading the declaration in Jakarta, at the end of December 2023, said their support for Prabowo-Gibran was based on the noble desire to advance the Republic of Indonesia, as well as taking into account global economic, geopolitical and security challenges.

"After going through a process of careful and careful consideration as well as the encouragement on the kiai, ma'am nyai, scholars, and cadres in the regions, we on behalf of the PPP Fighters expressly state to support Balak Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka as President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia 2024-2029," he said.

The General Election Commission (KPU) of the Republic of Indonesia has determined three participants in the 2024 presidential election, namely the Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar pair number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md number 3.

The campaign period for the 2024 presidential election will take place from November 28, 2023 to February 10, 2024, then the voting schedule will be on February 14, 2024.
