File Completed, Pilkada Fund Corruption Case Involves 5 Members Of The Maluku Aru KPU To Be Tried Soon

AMBON - Investigators from the Aru Islands Police Satreskrim handed over five commissioners of the KPU Aru for the alleged corruption case of misuse of grant funds for the regent and deputy regent of the Aru Islands in 2020. The submission of the suspects and evidence or stage 2 to the Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Aru Islands District Attorney took place at the Maluku High Prosecutor's Office in Ambon City, Wednesday.Aru Islands Police Chief AKBP Dwi Bachtiar Rivai revealed that the five suspects were handed over after their case files were declared complete by the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Aru. "In addition to the five suspects were flown using Wings Air ATR 72-600 PK-WJK aircraft from Rar Gwamar Dobo Airport, and arrived at the Maluku Prosecutor's Office at around 14.30 WIT," said Bachtiar, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday 18 January. Five suspects who were handed over with the initials MD, the chairman of the Aru Islands KPU along with four other members namely MAK, YSL, TJP, and KR. In addition to the five suspects, we also handed over the evidence filled in five medium-sized cartons," he said. The submission of the suspect and evidence was received by the Head of Pidsus Kejari Aru Fauzan Arif Nasution. With the submission of the five suspects, the handling of the case was declared complete with the Aru Police. Furthermore, the suspects will proceed with the prosecutor until the trial later,' he said. Maluku Police Chief Inspector General Lotharia Latif appreciated the performance of the Aru Police because the case has been handled for a long time and has been held several times with the National Police Headquarters.
