Ganjar Wants To Touch TNI At The Border To Prevent Illegal Economy

Presidential Candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo said illegal economy or criminal practices indicated corruption in the natural resource management sector need to be further highlighted.

This was said by Ganjar in response to the large number of arrested illegal activities in the mining and forestry sector based on the statement of the Temporary Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Nawawi Pomolango when opening the Integrity Paku activity which was attended by three candidate pairs of presidential and vice-presidential candidates at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan, South Jakarta, Wednesday, January 17.

"Why is it important for the TNI to be important, we see illegal economies, including illegal mines, including at the border. It seems that law enforcers need to be helped because of difficult situations, sometimes they are backed up by extraordinary forces, so extraordinary actions must also be taken. Without it will not work," said Ganjar.

Ganjar emphasized that the synergy between vital law enforcement institutions cannot be taken lightly. Not only in illegal activities that are arrested by unscrupulous persons, but also in other cases related to criminal acts of corruption.

On the same occasion, Ganjar prioritized public transparency in the legal process of each report and handling cases of alleged corruption. In the stage of state budget accountability, Ganjar also emphasized public openness.

As for the Integrity Paku event initiated by the KPK, the three pairs of candidates for presidential and vice presidential candidates Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD were present.

The three candidate pairs conveyed the obstacles to corruption action and the importance of the future strengthening the KPK at an event held at the KPK building in Jakarta on Wednesday, January 17 evening.
