Anies Again Promises To Build Stadium In Makassar

Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Rasyid Baswedan again promised to build an international standard football stadium in Makassar City, South Sulawesi, if he won the presidential election.

"So in Makassar we plan to build an international standard stadium. And we have launched this (design) specifically some time ago," said Anies during a grand campaign at the Chinese Football Field, China District, Bone Regency, South Sulawesi, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 17.

With the plan to build the stadium, the people of South Sulawesi, especially in Makassar City, will be able to enjoy and experience the magnificent stadium.

"This is an effort so that people in South Sulawesi, and in Makassar in particular they can have international standard stadiums. Moreover, their teams (PSM) are teams that have a long history, have many achievements, but the stadium is not there. And this is one of the complaints submitted by the community in Makassar," he explained.

Spokesperson for the AMIN Regional Campaign Team (TKD), Ismail Bachtiar, said that the plan to build a football stadium in Makassar had been launched when Anies Baswedan came to Makassar some time ago.

"I participated in yesterday's launching. This is indeed a priority program for Mattoangin International Stadium. And indeed it is the needs of the people of South Sulawesi. Pak Anies knows, we need it, the city needs to wake up. If it's not needed, what is a city to build," added this member of the South Sulawesi DPRD.
