Police Secure Dozens Of Brong Exhaust Motorcycles At Manahan Intersection Solo

SOLO - The Surakarta City Police Traffic Unit (Lantas) has again succeeded in confiscating dozens of motorbikes using Brong exhaust or noisy noise in the Manahan intersection area, Banjarsari District, Solo, Central Java.

Head of the Surakarta City Police Traffic Unit Kompol Agung Yudiawan said, as many as 23 motorbikes with Brong exhaust or noisy noise were caught by the Surakarta Police Traffic Unit, at the Manahan Intersection, Surakarta City, starting Monday night (15/1) until Tuesday morning.

"This intense raid is to maintain conduciveness and create the city of Solo, zero exhaust of brong or noise," Agung said as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 16.

Raid activities held by personnel from the Surakarta Police Traffic Unit, he said targeted vehicles that did not use exhaust according to standards. Especially vehicles that use Brong exhaust or noise.

According to him, the raid activity followed up on the order of the Head of the Central Java Regional Police to create Solo City free from exhausts that disturbed other road users and the public.

He said the Surakarta Police were forced to detain vehicles that violated traffic. The owner can take the vehicle, after completing the administration and paying a fine. Not only that, but other requirements are that the owner must bring and replace the standard exhaust.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Surakarta Police, Kombes Iwan Saktiadi, said that the massive action against the exhaust of the noise would continue to be carried out to make Solo City conducive.

"I urge the public not to use Brong exhaust. This is for togetherness to respect each other," said the Police Chief.

According to him, the violation of the Brong exhaust or noisy noise is contained in Article 285 paragraph 1 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 22 of 2009 concerning the Road Traffic and Transportation Act.

"The use of Brong exhaust or noisy noise can be subject to sanctions, in the form of imprisonment for a maximum of one month and a maximum fine of Rp. 250,000," he said.
