Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan found that there were children who could not go to school because they complained about the high cost of education when doing political safaris in Sorong City, Southwest Papua. Anies said the child who was accompanied by his mother admitted that he had studied in public schools. "This is a phenomenon that must be resolved. So, although we often say, oh, we are satisfied, but once checked, how is the condition of education, health, it turns out to be far from satisfactory," said the former governor of DKI Jakarta in an electronic message received in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, January 16. According to Anies, the level of satisfaction with each person's government is different. He said that in Indonesia currently there is still a fatal education problem if children do not go to school due to cost issues. "We are committed to accessing quality education. What does that mean? Children can go to school without a cost burden and they can study thoroughly, and that is our commitment, especially to areas like Papua. Because the key is to improve the quality of human resources (human resources), education, and health," he explained. Anies said his commitment to paying attention to the world of education, as well as for Indonesian citizens (WNI) who graduated from master's and doctoral programs, aims to build human quality and not build only human pillars. According to him, if building a building in urban areas without forming quality and adequate human resources, it will become a dead city. "So, what determines is humans, the quality of humans for education. So, that's our problem and it should have been a concern for a long time, yesterday. It's already 2024," said Anies.
