Inequality In Health Facilities, Anies: 74 Percent Of Hospitals Are In Java And Sumatra

Presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan alluded to the inequality of health facilities in Indonesia, Tuesday January 16. Anies in a virtual dialogue event for the Professional Community and the Health Association (Kompak) said that health facilities in the form of hospitals and doctors are still concentrated in Java and Sumatra. "Health centers, then we see 64 percent of doctors and 74 percent of hospitals are located on the islands of Java and Sumatra," said Anies, Tuesday, January 16.

The presidential candidate number one also presented a strategic agenda, including: First, strengthening the role of Puskesmas and community empowerment, hospital services and welfare as well as protecting health workers. Then the agenda for health financing, pharmaceutical independence and medical devices, disease control and health resilience.
