JAKARTA - United States President Joe Biden has reportedly lost his patience with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the conflict in Gaza, according to reports.
Citing US officials familiar with this, news website Axios reported Biden and other senior American officials were disappointed with Netanyahu and his refusal to comply with the US Government's request for conflict in Gaza.
"The situation is bad and we are stuck. The President's patience is running out," Axios quoted a US official as saying by ANTARA from Anadolu, Monday, January 15.
The report also said Biden had not been involved in conversations with the Israeli prime minister over the past 20 days.
The last phone call between the two men, which took place on December 23, can be described as "treating".
"There is tremendous frustration," another US official told Axios.
Among the US requests to Netanyahu were the disbursement of Palestinian tax revenues detained by Israel, Israel's reluctance to allow more humanitarian aid to enter Gaza, Netanyahu's rejection of the US plan for the reformed Palestinian Authority to play a role in post-Hamas Gaza, and a reduction in Israel's operations in Gaza.
