Police Arrest Oma Figure, 'Mami' Minors Who Provide Online Sex Services At Pondok Gede

BEKASI - Bekasi City Metro Police arrested a woman named Oma. He was arrested on suspicion of involvement in the Crime of Trafficking in Persons (TPPO) of high school students with the initials A and a number of other women to be used as sexual workers in the Pondok Gede area, Bekasi City.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi Metro Police, Muhammad Firdaus, said that Oma was arrested at his home in the Keanggan Pasar area RT 03/01, Jatisampurna, Bekasi City.

"Sudah ditangkap di rumahnya di Keranggan Pasar RT.003/001 Kelurahan Jatisampurna, Kecamatan Jatisampurna, Kota Bekasi," kata Firdaus dalam pesan singkat kepada VOI, Senin, 15 Januari.

Firdaus said that currently Oma has been named a suspect. He was charged with Article 88 in conjunction with Article 76i of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection and or Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 12 of the Republic of Indonesia Law No.21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

"With a maximum prison sentence of 15 years," he said.

Previously, photos circulated showing conversations in a WhatsApp group called 'Children' Oma.' The WA group allegedly contains women suspected of being commercial sex workers online.

As is known, the victim with the initials A (15) said that she had been made a BO woman by the perpetrator named Daniel (17). He was put into 'Oma Children'.

The figure of Oma invites the victims to work in online prostitution and provide a place for guests.
