JAKARTA - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed that nothing could stop Israel from destroying Hamas, as the war in Gaza reached 100 days on Sunday and the death toll continued to rise.
PM Netanyahu said Israel would not obey the International Court of Justice (ICJ), where Israel is accused of genocide and could be ordered to stop its attacks.
"No one will stop us, not The Hague (ICJ), no axis of evil and no one else," stressed PM Netanyahu, as reported by CNN, June 15.
PM Netanyahu said the genocide claim put forward by South Africa on Thursday was a "hypocritical attack" adding it was happening "at the behest of those who came to carry out another Holocaust against the Jewish people."
This "is a moral low point in the history of nations," said PM Netanyahu.
Netanyahu stated that despite antisemitism, the Jewish people are different and will fight "to the end."
On the same occasion, PM Netanyahu also emphasized that Israel cannot end the war until they close the Philadelphi Corridor, a 14 km long route that functions as the border between Egypt and Gaza. Such a move would give Israel full control of Gaza.
Letting the border with Egypt remain beyond Israel's reach would jeopardize their war gains, says PM Netanyahu.
"We will destroy Hamas, we will demilitarize Gaza, and military equipment and other deadly weapons will continue to enter this southern region, so of course we have to close it," said PM Netanyahu.
Separately, Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said Egypt remained in full control of its borders, in an interview with Egyptian television channel Sada Al-Balad on Saturday.

"Egypt fully controls its borders and controls them completely, and this issue is subject to legal and security agreements between the countries involved, so any discussions regarding this issue should generally be monitored and responded to with a stated stance," stressed Abu Zeid.
It is known that the war in Gaza has entered 101 days, when 23,843 people have been killed in the enclave since fighting broke out, while more than 60,000 people have been injured, according to figures released by the Hamas-run Ministry of Health.
