Kaesang: Prabowo-Gibran Must Win One Round

SALATIGA - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep said the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka must win the 2024 presidential election in one round.

Kaesang made this statement before the Gibran Bala Volunteers in Salatiga City, Central Java, Saturday, January 13.

"I ask ladies and gentlemen to win one round of Prabowo-Gibran. One round yes, not one time," said Kaesang as quoted by ANTARA.

Kaesang is currently campaigning for several locations in Semarang and Yogyakarta. The campaign was carried out as well as introducing PSI, the party he led in September 2023.

Kaesang hopes that this campaign can make PSI more known to the public so that it can pass Senayan, after previously failing in the 2019 election.

Kaesang targets PSI to pass the parliamentary threshold, which is set at 4 percent in accordance with Law Number 7 of 2017 concerning Elections.
