TNI Thwarts The Smuggling Of 75 Kilograms Of Marijuana In East Aceh

BANDA ACEH - TNI soldiers from Kodim 0104/East Aceh, Korem 011/Lilawangsa, Kodam Iskandar Muda, thwarted the smuggling of 75 kilograms of dried marijuana ready for distribution in Peunaron Lama Village, Peunaron District, East Aceh Regency.

Dandim 0104/East Aceh Lt. Col. Inf. Tri Purwanto said the marijuana was secured from the perpetrator with the initials SG (34), a resident of Gayo Lues Regency, Aceh.

"The dried marijuana was wrapped in four sacks and carried using a minibus. The weight of the four sacks containing the marijuana reached 75 kilograms," said Tri Purwanto as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, January 12.

SG was arrested along with marijuana brought by members of Koramil 01/Peunaron and the Intelligence Unit of Kodim 0104/East Aceh.

"The perpetrators and evidence were handed over to the East Aceh Police for further legal proceedings. This is a synergy between the TNI and Polri and the community," he said.

The disclosure of the smuggling of tens of kilograms of dried marijuana was based on public information and was then followed up by intercepting the vehicle carrying the prohibited items.
