GOWA - The Government of Gowa Regency, South Sulawesi (Sulsel) has imposed fines on a number of Makassar Instagram celebrities for violating the COVID-19 health protocol (prokes). The violations occurred in one of the villas in Malino, Gowa.

Head of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Gowa Regency Alimuddin Tiro said the celebration violated regulation Number 2 of 2020 concerning Mandatory Masks and Application of Health Protocols in Handling and Prevention of COVID-19.

"Yes, we call for a violation of Perda No. 2 regarding health protocols. Earlier there were 12 people (who were summoned), who were sanctioned IDR 100,000 for not wearing masks", Alimuddin Tiro told reporters, Monday, February 22.

Alimuddin Tiro said that the Instagram celebrities, Satriyadi Mulyadi, known as Adhy Basto, Jade Thamrin, along with a number of people, fulfilled the Satpol PP invitation. Alimuddin hopes that this case will not be repeated.

"Earlier, we had a meeting at the Satpol PP Gowa Office. I hope that what has been done recently will not be repeated", he said.

Violation of health protocols cases had gone viral on social media. These Instagram celebrities were dancing without wearing masks and keeping their distance. This viral video is then followed up by Satpol PP.
