Discuss Transportation In Manila, Jokowi Appreciates PT Adhi Karya Digaet For The Philippine Commuter Project

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) received an honorary visit from Philippine Transport Minister Jaime Bautista in Manila, on Thursday 11 January.

During the meeting, Jokowi appreciated the support and trust of the Philippine Department of Transportation in Indonesian SOEs.

Based on a written statement from the Press Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat via Antara, the Joint Venture Contract of PT PP and PT Adhi Karya for the North-South Commuter Railway Project has just been signed.

The President hopes that the cooperation can be followed up immediately by laying the first stone or groundbreaking.

For this reason, the President emphasized the importance of a strong commitment between the two parties so that the cooperation project can run well and in accordance with the predetermined targets.

"In addition, in the future, I hope that cooperation can be expanded to support the initiative of the Philippine government to accelerate development," he said.

He also hopes that Indonesia and the Philippines can continue to increase cooperation in the transportation sector.

Indonesia and the Philippines are believed to be able to continue to support and establish good cooperation and communication, including facilitating the business sector in the transportation sector.

"Thank you Secretary Bautista for trusting him in Indonesian SOEs and for this productive meeting," said the President.

Also accompanying the President in this meeting were Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Marsudi and Minister of SOEs Erick Thohir.
