BANJARMASIN - South Kalimantan Police (Kalsel) deployed thousands of personnel to escort millions of worshipers during the Haulke-19 implementation of Syekh Muhammad Zaini Abdul Ghani or Guru Sekumpul in Martapura, Banjar Regency, on Sunday (14/1).

"We are preparing the technical security of millions of worshipers who are present for the convenience of the community both from within the region and outside the region," said South Kalimantan Police Chief Inspector General Winarto in Banjarmasin as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 10.

The Regional Police Chief said that on Friday (12/1), the South Kalimantan Regional Police and the local government and the organizing committee will hold a coordination meeting to finalize security technicalities at the peak of the Haul Guru Sekumpul implementation.

"I hope the implementation of Haul Guru Sekumpul runs in an orderly and safe manner," he said.

Winarto admitted that it is not easy to regulate the order of millions of people who are in one location, so cooperation and collaboration of all parties, both local governments and the community who attend Haul Guru Sekumpul.

Head of the Banjar Regency Information and Statistics Communication Office, M Aidil Basith, said CCTV was used to monitor from before the implementation until after the event was over.

He said monitoring of traffic flow density needs to use CCTV so that officers can be easier and more easily overcome it.

The Banjarbaru City Government is also ready to support the smooth implementation of Haul Guru Sekumpul by integrating CCTV that has been installed by the Banjar Regency Government around the Banjarbaru City Government area.

Head of Banjarbaru Diskominfo Asep Saputra said CCTV would be integrated through the YouTube Channel so that it could be witnessed by pilgrims who could not approach the event point.

On the other hand, the Tapin Regency Government also provides 50 rest areas for pilgrims when the backflow will be carried out after the Haul Guru Sekumpul is completed.

Secretary of the Tapin Regency Traffic Forum Maria Ulfah said traffic engineering was also prepared, because on D-1 the main road activities of Tapin Regency are expected to be passed by millions of worshipers to the place where Haul Guru Sekumpul is held in Banjar Regency.
