Cak Imin Wasn't Surprised Khofifah Became The Prabowo-Gibran Team, PKB's Voice In East Java Remained Superior

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 1, Muhaimin Iskandar (Cak Imin) was not surprised to hear the news that the Governor of East Java had declared his support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka and will be his campaign team. According to the Chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB), his party's political stance with Khofifah is not always in line. For example, in the East Java gubernatorial election in 2018 and the Legislative Election in 2019. "We have known for a long time. In fact, the 2019 election in East Java is different from the PKB. So, it's nothing new. PKB supports others in the gubernatorial election, but Khofifah also does not support PKB in 2019. That is, it doesn't affect anything," said Cak Imin in Surabaya, Wednesday, January 10. Moreover, Cak Imin views that Khofifah's support for Prabowo-Gibran will not affect and erode the PKB vote in East Java. "Optimistic that PKB still has the most votes in East Java and that's a strong durability. So, it has nothing to do with it. That's their respective democratic rights," he said. It is known that the Governor of East Java Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that he would immediately go down the campaign mountain for the presidential-vice presidential candidate pair 02 Prabowo Subianto - Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This is if he is included in the management of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN). "I have conveyed to the Secretary of TKN, Nusron Wahid to revise the management of the campaign team. I said please let me be included in the team, and please submit a revision to the central KPU," said Khofifah. Khofifah admitted that she had promised Nusron Wahid to give answers about the direction of his support in the 2024 presidential election. Currently, he has expressed his willingness to win Prabowo-Gibran. "According to my promise, I am ready to enter TKN after returning from Umrah. Please include me as Jurkamnas, and maybe tomorrow it will be announced by TKN after being registered with the Central KPU," he said.

After stating that he is ready to support candidate pair 02, the General Chairperson of Muslimat NU also stated that he would directly step on campaign gas in various regions. "Essentially, I am ready to be Jurkamnas, ready to enter the TKN, what are the regulations, we will let the Deputy Governor take leave (during the campaign), then I will follow according to the existing SOP," he said.
