Khofifah Declaration To Join TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Ready To Campaign Around The East Java Region

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa stated that he would immediately go down the campaign mountain for the presidential-vice presidential candidate pair 02 Prabowo Subianto - Gibran Rakabuming Raka. This is if he is included in the management of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN).

"I have conveyed to the Secretary of TKN, Nusron Wahid to revise the management of the campaign team. I said please let me be included in the team, and please submit a revision to the central KPU," said Khofifah, Wednesday, January 10.

Previously, Khofifah admitted that she promised Nusron Wahid to give answers about the direction of his support in the 2024 presidential election. Currently, he has expressed his willingness to win Prabowo-Gibran.

"According to my promise, I am ready to enter TKN after returning from Umrah. Please include me as Jurkamnas, and maybe tomorrow it will be announced by TKN after being registered with the Central KPU," he said.

After stating that he is ready to support candidate pair 02, the General Chairperson of Muslimat NU also stated that he would directly step on campaign gas in various regions.

"Essentially, I am ready to be Jurkamnas, ready to enter the TKN, what are the regulations, we will let the Deputy Governor take leave (during the campaign), then I will follow according to the existing SOP," he said.

Khofifah will end her term as Governor of East Java on February 13, 2024. This means that Khofifah's term of office remains one more month.

Khofifah-Emil was inaugurated as Governor and Deputy Governor of East Java on February 13, 2019 by President Joko Widodo at the State Palace. Khofifah-Emil was inaugurated after previously winning the contestation of the East Java gubernatorial election in 2018 against the pair Syaifullah Yufuf-Puti Guntur Soekarno Putri.
