JAKARTA - Deputy Commander of the Young Voters Team (Fanta) TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Osco Olfriady Letunggamu, highlighted the statement by the presidential candidate number 1 Anies Baswedan which alluded to Prabowo Subianto's land ownership in the third presidential election debate.

Orco said Anies' statement made many supporters of candidate pair number 2 disappointed. This is because the former governor of DKI Jakarta, who was promoted by the Gerindra Party, was considered to have deliberately attacked Prabowo personally.

According to Orco, Anies' arguments and statements are irrelevant to the theme of debate, namely defense, national security, international relations and geopolitical relations.

"That (mentioning Prabowo's land, ed) is certainly irrelevant. The rhetoric seems to be deliberately cornering," said Orco, Tuesday, January 9.

Therefore, the Democrat Party politician considered it natural for many Prabowo supporters to be disappointed with Anies' statement. Moreover, Prabowo has contributed to his career as the leader of the capital.

"So if there are many cadres who object to Anies' method, that's natural," said Orco.

Orco also commented on the procurement of used defense equipment which became the subject of the attack by two of his opponent's presidential candidates. According to him, what Prabowo explained was correct.

"In the world of Technology, machines have a productivity age so that it will be a price barometer and the expiration date of use. This means that after expiration, it does not mean that they are immediately thrown away. Military equipment is not food which after expiration date cannot be consumed," he said.

Moreover, continued Orco, most political parties supporting other candidate pairs in the DPR RI also support the purchase of the used defense equipment. Because it takes a long time to hope to buy a new defense equipment.

"If war occurs instantly like in Ukraine-Russia, and we are still waiting for the defense equipment to be delivered, how can we be ready in a state of war," said Orco.
