There Is A Prabowo-Gibran Banner When The President Distributes Social Assistance In Serang, The Palace Confirms There Is Nothing To Do With Jokowi

JAKARTA - Presidential Special Staff Coordinator Ari Dwipayana emphasized the location of the working visit of President Joko Widodo in Serang, Banten, Monday (8/1), sterile from banners of presidential and vice presidential candidates.

"Of course in the location of the event is sterile and after you leave the event location, you distribute social assistance to people who gather on the road, now there are many posters (cameras) caught, actually outside (events) it's because of residential areas," said Ari Dwipayana as quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, January 9.

Ari Dwipayana's statement was in response to the banners of presidential and vice-presidential candidates when President Joko Widodo distributed social assistance to the people in Serang, Banten.

According to Ari, before distributing the social assistance, President Jokowi attended a meeting with the village head organized by the Ministry of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration.

The location of the main event meeting with the village head was sterile from the banners of presidential and vice-presidential candidates. However, when President Jokowi met people outside the event, there were banners of presidential and vice-presidential candidates installed because they were residential areas.

He ensured that the banners installed had nothing to do with President Joko Widodo.

"Yes, it has nothing to do with the President. First, the event (the main event) has been completed and yes, people happen to have photos of meeting, caught (cameras) like that, but actually outside the event, outside the event location," said Ari.

Presidential Chief of Staff Moeldoko on the previous occasion conveyed that the banner of presidential and vice presidential candidates during President Jokowi's working visit in an area was difficult to control because the installation was usually carried out by volunteers.

Regarding the poster of Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka during the distribution of social assistance by President Jokowi in Serang, Banten, Moeldoko said it was possible for political volunteers to take advantage of the momentum or situation to install campaign attributes.

"It is possible at every opportunity that political party volunteers take advantage of the situation, sometimes they even install the last moments. So, yes, it is a political activity that is indeed carried out by actors outside state actors, that's the problem," said Moeldoko.
