Shrimp Bribery Case, KPK Summons 6 Witnesses, Including Head Of KKP Research And Human Resources Agency Sjarief Widjaja

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) summoned six witnesses in the bribery case for the export license of fries or lobster seeds that ensnared the former Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Edhy Prabowo. One of the witnesses summoned was the Head of the Research and Human Resources Agency of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sjarief Widjaja.

"Examined as a witness for the EP suspect (Edhy Prabowo)," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri in his written statement, Monday, February 22.

Apart from examining Sjarief, the KPK also investigated five other suspects, namely Dina Susiana and Sahridi Yanopi who are private employees; Dhody Ananta Rivandi Widjajatmadja, and Selasih J. Rusma who are Land Deed Official (PPAT) notaries, and Yunus Yusniani who are students.

Not yet known the examination material of these six people. However, the witnesses who were summoned were suspected of knowing the alleged bribery case.

Previously reported, in this bribery case, Edhy Prabowo was named as a suspect in receiving bribes along with five other people, namely: Special Staff of Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) Safri (SAF) and Andreau Pribadi Misanta (APM); Management of PT. Aero Citra Kargo (PT. ACK) Siswadi (SWD); The staff of the wife of the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP), Ainul Faqih, and Amiril Mukminin (AM).

Meanwhile, the giver of the bribe was the Director of PT. Dua Putra Perkasa Pratama (PT. DPPP) Suharjito (SJT).

Edhy was named a suspect because he was suspected of accepting bribes from companies that had been issued a lobster seed export license using a forwarder company and were kept in one account up to IDR 9.8 billion.
