Meeting Prabowo, Airlangga To Zulhas, Jokowi Admits Discussions On The Presidential Election

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo admitted to discussing the government until the presidential election (pilpres) during a meal with three party general chairmen, namely Prabowo Subianto, Airlangga Hartarto, and Zulkifli Hasan. "There is a government election, there is also a discussion of the presidential election," said Jokowi after inaugurating the Pamulang-Cinere-Raya Bogor Toll Road, at the Limo Utama, Depok, West Java Toll Gate, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, January 8. Jokowi said his meeting with the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto, General Chairperson of the Golkar Party Airlangga Hartarto, and General Chairperson of the National Mandate Party Zulkifli Hasan was on the agenda of eating together. "Eat dinner, lunch, breakfast, breakfast," he added. When asked about neutrality in several meetings with party chairmen in the middle of the 2024 presidential election stage, Jokowi answered that the meeting was held outside of his working hours as president. "Wong meets him at night, meets holidays right, and eats too," said Jokowi.

Jokowi had dinner with Prabowo Subianto in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Jakarta, on Friday last week. Then, Saturday, January 6, Jokowi had breakfast and had breakfast with Airlangga Hartarto at the Bogor Botanical Gardens, West Java. Finally, last Sunday, Jokowi fulfilled Zulkifli Hasan's invitation to have lunch together at a restaurant in Bogor City, West Java.
