Traffic Engineering Around The GBK Area During The Third Presidential Candidate Debate

Traffic engineering will be carried out around the GBK area during the third presidential candidate debate (doc. GBK.id).

JAKARTA - The Traffic Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya will implement traffic engineering related to the holding of the third debate on the 2024 Presidential Election or Presidential Election at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Sunday, January 7, 2024. However, the implementation is situational.

"Ditlantas Polda Metro Jaya is also preparing traffic engineering around the GBK area. However, the implementation of traffic engineering is situational depending on the conditions and situation in the field," said Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division and Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Brigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko in a written statement, Sunday, January 7, 2024.

The traffic engineering scheme that is planned to be implemented is the flow of vehicle traffic from Jalan Gatot Subroto to Jalan Gerbang Pemuda directed straight to Jalan Gatot Subroto towards Slipi.

Then, the traffic flow from the direction of Jalan Asia Afrika is directed straight towards Jalan Hang Tuah Raya.

Finally, the traffic flow from the Senayan Roundabout which will go to Jalan Pintu Senayan is directed straight to Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

Still in the security scheme, 8 entrances to the Gelora Bung Karno or GBK area will be closed.

"The closed access doors are doors 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 11, and 12," said Trunoyudo.

Gate 7 and 10 will be entry and exit access. Of course, stay guarded by a joint team. Meanwhile, doors 5 and 8 are only used for exit access.

Meanwhile, for the personnel who were alerted, there were 3,041 joint personnel. In detail, 2,877 Polri personnel consisting of Task Force 727 personnel, Task Force 2,000 personnel, and Task Force 100 personnel.

Then, 120 personnel from the TNI and 94 personnel from the DKI Regional Government with details of Satpol PP 40 personnel, Transportation Agency 35 personnel, Derek 5 personnel, and Firefighters 14 personnel.

"Security of joint Polri, TNI, and DKI Provincial Government personnel according to the dynamics of the essence of the task of securing the third presidential and vice presidential debate activities through the Preemptive, Preventive, Public Relations, and Operational Assistance Task Force," said Trunoyudo.

The third debate for the 2024 presidential election will start at 19.00 WIB. The theme of the presidential candidate debate will be defense, security, international relations, globalization, geopoliticalism, and foreign politics.
