Remind Israel After Attack On General Soleimani's Death Commemoration, President Raisi: You Will Pay High

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi blamed Israel for two explosions that killed more than 100 people on the anniversary of the death of a senior general in southeastern Iran on Wednesday.

At least 103 people were killed and 188 others injured, as a result of two explosions near Major General Qasem Soleimani's grave in Kerman City.

"I warn the Zionist regime: Don't hesitate that you will pay a heavy price for this crime and the crimes you have committed," President Raisi said in a televised address.

President Raisi puts emphasis on the sentence against Israel to be "realized and severe".

As previously reported, Iranian Interior Minister Ahmad Vahidi said the first explosion occurred at 15.00 local time during an interview with Iran's state news channel IRIB. While the second, the deadliest explosion occurred 20 minutes later, when other worshipers came to help injured victims, Vahidi continued.

The first explosion occurred 2,300 feet (700 meters) from Soleimani's grave, and the second explosion occurred 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) away when pilgrims visited the site, according to IRNA.

Meanwhile, another state television channel, IRINN, reported that the first explosion near Soleimani's grave was caused by a bomb placed in a suitcase in a Peugeot 405. It was thought to have been detonated remotely.

Separately, the Israeli military told CNN it "does not comment" on the explosion in Iran. On the other hand, no group has yet claimed responsibility for the explosion that Iran calls a "terror attack."

US State Department spokesman Matt Miller told reporters on Wednesday the US had no "independent information" about the explosion, and it "has no reason to believe Israel is involved."
