NTB Police: The Finding Of The 2024 Election Voice Letter Is Damaged, Not The Authority Of The Police

NTB - Head of the Operations Bureau of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police, Kombes Pol Abu Bakar Tertusi, revealed that the follow-up to the findings of thousands of ballots for the 2024 General Election with damaged conditions was outside the police's authority.

"What is clear is that it is the realm of Bawaslu. As long as there are no reports and follow-up to Gakkumdu, it means that we consider there are no problems. That's why the realm of election organizers," said Abu Bakar Tertusi in Mataram, Thursday, January 4, was confiscated by Antara.

This condition is the finding of the General Elections Commission (KPU) in several districts/cities in NTB when sorting and multiplicating the 2024 election ballots.

In this activity, Abu Bakar ensured that his party, who is part of the Steamous Operations Task Force Brata (OMB) for the 2024 General Election, would continue to provide security.

He did not deny that the OMB Task Force also received information about the condition of the damaged election ballot.

From the results of the evaluation, Abu Bakar confirmed that the damage was not due to the lack of security for the OMB Task Force.

"So far, the security we have carried out has been maximized. Even if there is damage caused by the distribution process, of course we have to see what it looks like from Bawaslu," he said.

He said to trace the cause of the damage to the election ballot, his party could not immediately take legal steps because there must be reports and directions from Bawaslu as the organizer.

"So, if there is a report from Bawaslu, we will move, it is also in the realm of the Gakkumdu center, there are prosecutors, and also from Bawaslu," he said.
