After 10 Soldiers Killed In The Red Sea, Yemen Pledges To Reply To The US

JAKARTA - After the United States (US) claim that it had succeeded in sinking three Yemeni ships, the Yemeni armed forces confirmed 10 of its troops were missing as a result of being attacked by the US in the Red Sea and warned Washington would receive retaliation and pledged to continue to support the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Yaman Military Spokesman Yahya Saree on Sunday said the US attacked three of its ships in the Red Sea, killing ten Yemeni soldiers.

As reported by Al-Masirah TV channel, reported by ANTARA, Saturday, January 1, Saree revealed that Yemen's ships were in the Red Sea to carry out military operations against the Maersk Hangzhou ship bound to go to the Israeli-occupied Palestinian port.

Iran has never recognized Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories since 1948 as territory of Israel (red).

He explained that the ship was targeted after its crew did not respond to the warning of the Yemeni army.

Saree appealed to all countries not to be dragged into the US plot and emphasized that the actions of American troops to protect Israeli ships in the Red Sea would not stop Yemen's support for the Gaza people.

Earlier on Sunday, US Central Command (CENTCOM) said helicopters from two American warships were shot on a Yemeni ship in response to a distress signal from Singapore-flagged ship Maersk Hangzhou.

According to CENTCOM, three ships sank and a number of crew members were killed.

Yemen's armed forces have in recent weeks attacked Israeli-related ships in the Red Sea in retaliation for their actions in Gaza.

According to him, the attack will continue until the regime stop its crimes and allow food and medicine to enter Gaza.

The US formed an international coalition to counter Yemen's attacks.
