Campaign Attributes Disrupt The View Of New Year's Eve 2024

JAKARTA - New Year's Eve 2024 is celebrated by people in various regions, including in Jakarta. Enlivening New Year's Eve, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government held Young Homecoming Nights in the National Monument (Monas) area and along Jalan Sudirman to MH Thamrin. This activity was attended by the Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono and officials of the DKI Jakarta Regional Leadership Communication Forum (Forkopimda). Forkopimda officials also released the ornamental car parade and hundreds of parade participants from Monas to the HI Roundabout. In his remarks, the chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, mentioned the conditions of celebrating New Year's Eve which coincided with the 2024 election campaign period. "Alhamdulillah, today we will release 2023 to 2024. Hopefully in 2024 in this political year nothing will happen, especially in DKI Jakarta. Everything is conducive," said Prasetyo at Monas, Sunday, December 31 evening. Prasetyo then mentioned the rampant campaign attributes ranging from banners, posters, to billboards participating in the 2024 General Election, ranging from presidential-cawapres candidates, legislative candidates, to political parties. Prasetyo, who is also a candidate for DPR RI member, admitted that the campaign attributes quite disturbed the scenery, especially during the 2024 New Year's Eve activities. "Everything that interferes with today is the issue of banners, banners. Later, after (the campaign period) is finished, it will be cleaned up," explained Prasetyo. Meanwhile, Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono invited the entire community to maintain unity ahead of the voting day for the 2024 General Election. "Together with all elements of society, we strengthen our energy in maintaining national unity and integrity, especially ahead of the implementation of the 2024 democratic party," he explained. Heru hopes that the public can enjoy the event during the New Year celebrations in Jakarta. Heru also wants this momentum to be a heterogeneous glue for the togetherness of the people of Jakarta.

"Happy New Year 2024 to all people of Jakarta. Always the new year brings happiness to prosperity for all of us, as well as determination full of hope to realize Jakarta's success for Indonesia," added Heru.
